Among the events of the Villaggio Italia in Los Angeles for the Amerigo Vespucci World Tour there was also an international conference organized by the Italian Air Force with representatives of the Italian and US administrations, three astronauts, a "space tourist" and the CEO of one of the new (many) aerospace companies in California: an event that I had the pleasure of moderating..
With almost two and a half million euros in public funding, CHEDAR (Cultural Heritage Digitization and Reconstruction) coordinated by Professor Grazia Tucci will create a research and advanced training center for the digitization and reproduction of monuments and works of art damaged or destroyed during wars or after environmental disasters in the states of the wider Mediterranean. The project, based on the experience of the reproduction of Michelangelo's David (the real star of Expo DubaI: READ)thus benefits from the funds allocated for the legacy of Italy’s participation in the first Universal Exhibition in the Middle East.

The implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan in Italy’s transport and infrastructure sector — my update for the Ministry’s website)
With over thirty years of experience in Italy and abroad, I've built a diverse career in media and communications. My journey began in journalism, where I've worked across various platforms including newspapers, magazines, newswires (including some of the world top players such as Bloomberg News), television channels, radio stations, and news websites. Over time, I expanded my expertise to include consulting on or leading communication, media, and external relations projects for institutions, companies, and international events.
I'm also an accomplished book author, speaker, panel moderator, and media trainer. Since 1998, I've been a proud member of the Italian National Order of Journalists, initially as a publicist and since 2001 as a professional. Recently, I've joined the Foreign Press Association in Italy, further expanding my professional network and global perspective.
🎓 A Master’s degree in Political Sciences from the University of Florence, with a final dissertation on the Italian political system in the mid Nineties
🌍 In London between 1994 and 2009, then based in Rome, often for assignments of few days in Brussels (and in Dubai for seven months in 2021-2022)
📰 📻 📺 For 25 years I have worked for Italian, British, and American media (daily papers, magazines, radio stations, new websites, and newswires, above all Bloomberg News), reporting from over 20 countries in Europe and the Middle East. I've also worked as a television off and on-line producer, researcher, author, and video librarian
💡🔧 Since 2019, I have been advising or leading communication teams in activities and special projects for government institutions and private companies in Italy (currently for the annual summit of the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability and for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan at the Transportation and Infrastructures Ministry), the rest of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates (for Expo 2020 Dubai)
📚 I am also a (co) author / curator of guidebooks, photographic volumes, and instant books on cities, global events, works of art, and current affairs (see here)…
… 🎤 moderator / speaker / co-organizer of events and panels on public finance and information perspectives, space economy, innovation for sustainability, cultural initiatives and press conferences to promote Italian territories abroad.
From time to time, 🧑🏫 lecturer at Italian and foreign universities and trainer on theory and practice of media and communication.
While the crisis of traditional media now appears irreversible (with print media, apart from major international newspapers and a few local publications, on the verge of extinction), in-person events go through a new beginning after the Covid years and amount more than ever to irreplaceable opportunities to transmit one's message, be it B2B, B2C, B2G, G2B or G2C. Companies or governments that want to communicate with each other or with consumers-citizens are increasingly resorting to summits, conventions and conferences which, however, in turn require meticulous organization, a wide network of contacts and - above all - original content. This is the case of initiatives like the one above (photo by Massimo Sestini) on the implications and prospects of the space economy ( link to the video ) and those below in which I participated in the roles of moderator, organizer or speaker.

In the only global, not virtual event held during the years of the Covid-19 pandemic, Italy was able to convey a powerful message about its future. A message that was relaunched in hundreds of stories and reports by regional and international media as well as in the posts of of the Pavillion’s 1.7 million visitors, among them many micro- and top-influencers. A result worth some $60 million...

Two Finance Ministers, speaking for the first time since taking office to a foreign media organization, talk about plans to kickstart the Italian economy while ensuring the public accounts won’t worsen. Not surprisingly, their priorities and concerns sound almost the same

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and then Tik Tok and other social media have changed our lives: knowing how to observe and understand them is the first step to making the best use of them, as demonstrated by many micro and top influencers
On August 24, 2016, I arrived in Amatrice with my then bureau chief - among the first international media reporters - as it was still dawn. I immediately realized that more than the words I would use later, the images taken with the mobile phone were the only way to share what had happened. I posted them on Twitter one after the other and shortly thereafter (see below) the Bloomberg News profileHere the story publisd by Bloomberg at the end of that day, inviting its millions of followers to monitor my account
The story of a cumbersome derivative contract and the investigation to tell its implications and consequences on the accounts of a city in central Italy (and why a large US investment bank would never have wanted it to be published).

That time when on the “wrong” day (that of the indictment in the Ruby investigation) prompted an agry reply by Mister B.
Others (see below) faced even worse situations
There were even those who publicly invited me to consider legal action against him, while the episode was the inspiration for over fifty brand new jokes, created by the readers of the Spinoza.it satyrical and very popular website
My favorite ones were the two below that somehow drew a comparison between B. and the Roman Emperors Caligula and Nero…

He pretends to fire a machine gun at a Russian reporter for an awkward question to Vladimir Putin (who stands next to him during a joint briefing and who conspicuously congratulates him)
“Prime Minister, do yo
u realize that your comment about Obama (“tanned” ed.) is offensive in the United States? Why don't you apologize?” asks the Bloombeg News colleague. B. replies: "I see that you too have put yourself on the list of those I said yesterday..." ("assholes", editor's note). Then…
